Sanitation in a Disaster
Sanitation is one of the biggest problems after a big disaster, i.e. flood or earthquake. Water pipes break during earthquakes and water is shut off, sometimes for weeks or longer, hence, toilets are not usable. People tend to want to dig a hole in their backyard and use that, which creates very big problems. An RV potty won't work either because dumping stations will not be in service. If you dig a hole, you will invite rats and rodents and all kinds of problems into your yard and your neighborhood which will then cause disease. The following information will help you and your neighbors stay safe in a disaster.
